Faythe Levine

I really enjoyed Faythe Levine's presentation about her project, Handmade Nation. I love how she takes the art of knitting/ crocheting and takes it to the next level by implementing her designs throughout the community. My favorite part was when she referred to her work as 'tagging'. Most people think of graffiti but I like how she takes a different style of art and presents it to the world in her own way. It is something different to appreciate. I think public art is what defines an artist their voice.

Red House

To promote the Red House to Syracuse University:

a. Create a sticky logo and have it posted all around campus, stickers, posters, chalk the quad, etc.

b. Bring a free concert to Syracuse University to promote yourselves (in shine and goldstein)

c. Have a 'red bus' for student transportation

d. Introduce student talent into the Red House to get recognition
